We are always looking for enthusiastic, motivated and curious scientists who are excited about working at the interface of organic chemistry, chemical biology and drug discovery. If you are interested in joining the group, I would be delighted to hear from you. Even if there is no currently advertised position that matches your background, feel free to get in touch via email or Linkedin to discuss potential opportunities.
Postdoctoral Researchers
Postdoctoral positions will be advertised as funding becomes available. However, I warmly encourage outstanding candidates to contact me if they are interested in applying for their own fellowship. I am happy to support applications to funding schemes such as the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA PF), GAČR Postdoc Individual Fellowship Incoming (PIF IN), or other national and international funding opportunities, and I will be pleased to help develop a competitive proposal.
PhD Students
Two fully funded PhD positions will be available in 2027, with projects starting in October 2027. The positions will be advertised on the Department of Organic Chemistry website and on my Linkedin profile. If you are interested in joining the group, I encourage you to contact me in advance, as I am always happy to discuss potential research projects and answer any questions about the application process.
Master’s Students
Research projects for Master’s students are available each academic year. These projects provide an opportunity to gain hands-on research experience in modern synthetic chemistry and chemical biology while contributing to cutting-edge research in next-generation therapeutics. As Master’s projects begin at the start of the academic year, I encourage interested students to contact me towards the end of June (after your Bc graduation) to arrange a meeting and discuss potential project topics.
Bachelor’s Students
Research opportunities for Bachelor’s students are available from their second year onwards (2 to 3 semesters in total). Students are expected to have completed the core undergraduate courses in organic chemistry (OC1+OC2) before joining the lab. Projects are tailored to provide practical laboratory experience and introduce students to research in organic chemistry and next-generation therapeutics. If you are interested, I encourage you to get in touch at the beginning of your second year so that we can discuss potential projects and starting date.
